Missing in Action

It is among my summer goals to do my best to reconstruct the past six months. In short, life turned into a whirlwind of events. Between family, church, school, and work this blog was pushed to the side. My creative juices, and time were beyond depleted, and this blog was the biggest casualty. Well this blog, and the laundry room. How creativity and laundry work together is a mystery, but that is my excuse. Meanwhile, life marched on, and now I have a folder bursting with pictures, and another folder bursting with videos. All of those pictures and videos must land somewhere, and this is the place my friends. This is the place! So over the next few weeks expect posts that begin like this: Dear Blog, blog friends, and cyber world I'm ignoring you because I am (was). . . ... watching soccer. Another soccer season has come and gone. This season the boys played and Super S. reffed. Every Saturday Super S. found herself on a soccer field for seven hours of reffing fun. A...

Closet Explosion

Summer is bidding a fond farewell and the bi-annual closet explosion has begun. For you out of state people who don't know what this is let me explain. Here in Utah you need two full wardrobes. You need short sleeve shirts, shorts, and your favorite pair of sandals. If your a true Utahn you can pull this wardrobe off from about Mid-April to the Beginning of November. If your a wuss Utahn, like me, you pull this particular wardrobe off from June to September. Then there is wardrobe number two, long sleeves (personally I am all about the Hoodie), jeans, and shoes to keep your toes toasty. Through out the month of October your closest explodes as every article of clothing you have has to be kept out. Is today a hot day, cold day, starting out cold getting warm, is it going to snow, rain, be gloomy, or is it going to be a beautiful blue sky day. Mother Nature has several Mood Swings when it comes to Utah weather. Right now we are dealing with exploding closets and the inevitable cries ...

SUN! YAY!

We have sun people. Real sun. Real warm your buns, leave the windows open, play in the garden sun.  It is wonderful!  So wonderful that I am having a hard time finding the motivation to do anything but play outside.  I am forcing myself to keep the house clean. I am forcing myself to go to work today. I am forcing myself to acknowledge that the kids still have a month of school left. Oh, and I have to pull off an assembly for the school.  Anyone have any great Reflection motivation ideas? Anyways, all in all I have to say it is wonderful to have some good weather. It is making me feel all kinds of motivated in the bike department. Brent helped me dig a five hour block out today and I will be hitting the road for a 60 mile bike ride. Yikes and Yipee!! Little Red is in just 7 short weeks. I am having a hard time believing I am still doing this. Who rides there bike for 100 miles? I'm looking forward to the accomplishment but YIKES! Why can't they have a 100 hour garden parties no...

No More Pencils, No More Books, No More Teachers Dirty Looks!

I am so excited for the kids to start summer vacation. Nine more days and it will finally be summer. Utah's winter seemed to never end it has really only been the last couple of days that it finally started to get warm. I swear I feel like I am frozen right to the middle. Nine more school days and it will be summer vacation. Which means warm, warm, warm summer sun. Oh and I guess it also means Sam and I will be heading to Hawaii. I guess I can endure that torture. We are excited for everything that we have planned for the summer. Right now life is busy, busy. Tomorow is the last games of AYSO soccer I am so excited, making sure four kids get to four games every Saturday has been hard. They love it and Brent and I spend Saturday trying to figure out how the heck to do it. And enjoying watching them play of course! H. and Al are also playing t-ball, and softball they are both loving it. This is H.'s first year and I just love wa...
