Exciting News

I have news. Exciting news. Well at least exciting news for me. However, I can’t share today. First I have to tie up some ends in the real world. Because it is the kind of news that people in your real life should hear before they read it in the virtual world. I know that I walk a very thin line of real world verses virtual world but believe it or not I try to make the real world come first. J

I try! I don’t always succeed but I try.

Instead of hearing my exciting news you get to read about my summer funk. Which I dealt with the same way I have dealt with many of my funks. I slipped into a good book and let the life in the story play out. Believe me it was much more entertaining than my real life.

I have literally spent the summer with my nose buried in a book. Reading no less than 50 books. Sad but true.

Among my favorite reads this summer was actually a reread. In about a weeks span I reread all the Harry Potter books. I was amazed at all the details I had forgotten and truly enjoyed reading them again. Rowling told a great story.

I tried to reread the Twilight books with no success. Either it has been to soon or once you know how it ends there is no suspense to pull you back into the story.

I am betting the latter. Please don’t send me hate mail. I’m just thinking that the books aren’t as great as I originally thought.

I can actually feel your hate right now.

It is kind of scary.

Okay, I take it back I LOVE TWILIGHT!

Please don’t hate me.

Anyway, my summer of reading is coming to a hault. Which has a lot to do with my news. J That I will be sharing soon, just not today.

Hey, look I am creating suspense. Maybe I can get a multi-million dollar book deal.

Huh… That’s just mean you should really think quieter

You know, ya otta be careful packaging information as "exciting news." Among most of my friends here that can only mean one thing..........

.....now, I won't start any rumors that you might be expecting anything like a bundle of joy... but I won't NOT start those rumors either.

SO, you better fess up, Sister! What are you not telling us?

By the way, you sound really excited. If congratulations are in order (and I don't mean because you are/are not ... well, you know), the Congratulations!

Oh, and I certainly don't hate you for not loving Twilight as much on the second read. There are only a handful of books that I have ever picked up more than once.

A friend of my loves books because she feels that they become her friends. She reads once, and then returns often to enjoy the same excitment again and again.

Me -- not so much. I am a literary one-night-stand. I like the initial thrill and excitment of new plot lines and new characters. I like to stay up all night just to see what happens next, but when it is over... I am done with it.

If Twilight is your one-night-stand, it's okay. Something else will come along, turn your head, and keep you up and turning pages all night. =)

I thought the same thing as Willow about "exciting news". What else could "exctiting news" be? Hmmmmm. And yes, I agree that it's hard to juggle real life people with internet people sometimes (and where the intertwine), especially around times of "exciting news".

As one who doesn't expect all "Exciting News" to revolve around the baby bliss, (Cuz Honestly I just can't see you starting over) then I'm speculating on something happening on your career front. I'm going with something that will "HALT" your summer. SO I Say "CONGRATULATIONS!" No matter what it REALLY is! ;)

However, I as one who has 0 time for patience... I will expect an update POST HASTE!

Registered! What Have I done?

I'm just home from the gym. My legs are shaky, my shirt is sweaty, and my muscles are loose. Saturday, I biked almost 30 miles on a hill before getting off the hill and finishing up at 35 miles. This morning I went for a nice 70 minute jog. (Legs are not HAPPY!) Last night before going to bed I registered for "Little Red." Paid my non-refundable registration fee. Needless to say I'm what you would called, "FREAKED!" Ask "the SwimMom" Holiday Edition

One thing that you may not know about me is that in my senior year of high school I worked at Baskin Robins. I scooped, dipped, mixed, and created ice cream concoctions for almost an entire year. It was the best and worst job I ever had. My favorite ice cream desserts were malts. Ummmm!!! That is why when I came across this recipe a few years later I couldn't wait to try it. That is why after I tried this recipe it became one my favorite cookie recipes. Come and Gone

Christmas has come and gone the final hours of 2010 has began. I'm sure that I have a 2010 reflection post in me somewhere. But! Our 2010 is ending with family, friends and the baptism of my baby. It is so hard to type that sentence even harder to believe that we are baptizing our last little one. So the end of this year is going to come and go without a reflection post. I have chili to cook and family to visit and.... I did want to share with you a quick look at our Christmas We spent Christmas Eve at Grandma's house. At 80 years old she keeps the party rocking and we enjoy the time we get to visit with everyone. (A quick picture before we left. I try to get this picture every year on Christmas Eve.) Melting snowman was our little Christmas Eve joke since all of our Christmas snow had melted. (The stockings after Santa's Visit) This year we enjoyed a brown Christmas.
