She's Kidding Right?

Brent has a cousin whose family just moved to Utah.  When I say just I mean like the first of the year just. Yesterday she posted on her blog how awesome snow is.

So I am reading her post with my mouth wide open, thinking, your a nut.  I thought I was a nut but your a true nut.

Like snow?

Have fun in snow?

Don't complain about snow?

What the heck is her problem?

Have I not spent a great amount of time on this blog, letting the world know that SNOW BLOWS?!

That, along with snow comes, ice, cold, wet, endless winters!

Remember, even the birds leave Utah for warmer homes?

Sometimes I feel like I am getting nowhere with you people.

So, it is true, that she is the kind of person who makes the best out of every situation.  Who is always smiling.  I don't think I have ever seen her not smiling. Her blog is all about how great her life is.  Honestly, she is one of those, whose life is great, because unlike us, "The world sucks people," she is a, "The world is great people." She has had many challenges but I have never heard her complain about them.  She is truly an awesome person.

I guess it is good to know those kind of people.

Right?

Yes, it is good to know people who see good in everything. Even Snow!

But she is still nut!

Because, I'm the type of person, who has to believe, that people who enjoy snow, are not all together right in the head!

Brent's Cousin, if you read this just know your nut.  But a good nut! I'm watching for the day I finally convert you to the, "SNOW BLOWS," side of life.

No come on Krissi, I have lived in Idaho my whole life (minus the 2 years in Bakersfield) and I still love the snow. I did think it was a bit much when it snowed In June, but..... LOL! You have to enjoy what's here and now! HUGS!

I thought you were designing your backgrounds yourself all along. I like how you have the info on both sides of your posts.

I love the snow, even yesterday when it took me an hour to pick up Jman from the pool, I just sat in traffic savoring the moment being grateful it wasn't 103 degrees and I wasn't roasting. Snow is good it makes me happy!!!

I'm sure it's fun right now for us because I still feel like we're on vacation! Reality hasn't set in yet. I also haven't had a car for the last 2 days so I haven't had to drive in it yet. (And I've been stuck in the house!) I do recall how much I dislike driving in snow! Especially on the freeway when big trucks snowblast you! For now, we will just play and enjoy it! :0) I hear we might all get together soon for dinner and games. Can't wait! We sure miss family. I realized I was truly a nut when I actually ate the snow icecream!! That has been a while and it sure doesn't taste like it did when I was a kid!!
Nutty me! :0)

Our Christmas Letter

Each year I send out a Christmas letter and the one thing that frustrates me more then anything about the letter is that I can not include all the pictures I would like. That and Brent's rule that the letter has to fit on one side of one paper. I have gotten pretty clever with font size and margins to keep this rule. All you that have read this blog know that I am a sucker for pictures. So this year along with mailing out the letters I am going to post the letter with pictures. YAY ! So fun having your own blog to torture people anyway you want. Our Christmas cards were sent out on Monday so here in all it's digital glory is the letter again, this time with pictures. (Beginning of Letter) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We hope that this letter finds you happy, healthy and enjoying the holiday season. If you are like us, it has been a little bit of a difficult year dealing with increasing prices and a budget that isn't quite stretching to meet every thing you want it to...

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. It is always nice to take time out and spend time with family and enjoy each others company. I am looking forward more than I can say to our Thanksgiving break. I wrapped up my diversity class good, bad, or indifferent it is done. YAY! Reflections is all but done. This year we had 130 projects submitted three years ago when I started as the Reflection chick we had 9 projects submitted. It almost brought me to tears seeing all the kids projects and their creativity. So very awesome and soooo much work. The economy is looking a tiny bit better and it looks like we may get a little good news in the coming months. That will be a welcome break. All in all I have to say things are looking up. Which brings me to my thought for the day "As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." ~John Fitzgerald Kennedy My greatest hope for this holiday season is that I can live by the spiri...

Hip Hip Hurray, Tomorrow is PIE Day

Well in a little less then 24 hours I am going to have to reset this counter.  I can hardly believe that it says 30 days.  I have to tell you I never thought I would make it this many days I really thought I would have to reset it at some point in time. It has been a huge motivation for me knowing that you guys are watching the counter.  Also, knowing that even if you didn't catch me in the time allowed you would see that I punked.  That I didn't have the self control, not to eat sugar. Every time I would think of eating a goodie, I would think about reseting the clock.  I would wonder who was online, I would wonder if I would get caught, I would wonder who would catch me.  By the time I got through thinking about all of that I would decide the treat wasn't worth it. Another motivation has been my kids, who have said, "Mom you don't have to reset the counter no one would know."  I wanted them to see that  I could be honest and not do something I shouldn't ...
