Registered! What Have I done?

I'm just home from the gym. My legs are shaky, my shirt is sweaty, and my muscles are loose. Saturday, I biked almost 30 miles on a hill before getting off the hill and finishing up at 35 miles. This morning I went for a nice 70 minute jog. (Legs are not HAPPY!)

Last night before going to bed I registered for "Little Red." Paid my non-refundable registration fee.

Needless to say I'm what you would called, "FREAKED!" Holy Cow what have I gotten myself into, a 100 mile bike ride.  Do you know that this ride will actually take me out of one state into another and back. Does that sound insane? Who gets up and says hey lets ride our bikes to that state over there and back? I think I have officially lost my mind.

How does one know for sure if they have lost there mind? Short of registering for a 100 mile bike ride. Do you know people do these all the time? They do them for fun! Maybe that is the definition of insane.

Well what is done is done and I have 16 weeks and 805 training miles to go. Pray for melted snow and a couple of nice days so I can get a mile or two of those 805 outside.  Back later with a question for y'all.

Unless you think the question should be, "Do you think Krissi is officially nuts?"

Oh are we supposed to register for that. I did not know this. I thought maybe you do it as a group or something. Do you have to put down what you are doing for sure? I don't know what I am doing yet.

Now you've done it!! Once you register you for sure have to complete the trek now. Good for you!!! It's very cool to hear about the progress you have made and your plans of continued progress. Troy always told me that it took me three kids to make me crazy enough to run a marathon. I guess it is good to be crazy and out of our minds. Right?

Our Christmas Letter

Each year I send out a Christmas letter and the one thing that frustrates me more then anything about the letter is that I can not include all the pictures I would like. The Kids Today

S. is now 11 years old and is counting down the days until she turns 12. She is in the fifth grade and says math is her favorite subject. She stays pretty busy with swimming and soccer. This past year in addition to a regular AYSO team she has been competing on an All Star Team. She has really enjoyed it and is really looking forward to a tournament that will take place in Hawaii this July. She still loves swimming and is still competing when she can. A. is 9 years old and is the professor of the house.  He is our silent man whose brain is in constant motion.  He reads and reads and reads and soon will read me out of house and home.  He enjoys video and computer games, and he loves playing sports.  In January he made the city swim team and continues to play soccer, basketball, and anything that I let him.  Al will soon be eight.  As in next week soon.  The best part of school she says is 3:25 when pressed for a better answer than that she say...

Where's The Green? Project One

As I said before one of the biggest problems in our home office is cords. One of the most irritating set of cords was the USB cords. They were a dusty pile of cords that lived behind my computer. I was forever sifting through each and every USB until I found the needed one. With this in mind we came up with the following solution. Step one: Cute "green" box purchased at JoAnn's. It was originally 9.99, however the day I bought the cute "green" box it was on sale 40% off. Cute $5.00 box. Step Two: Drill a 1/2 inch whole in back of cute "green" box. Step Three: Placed inside, the cute "green" box, a USB hub. Which connected 7 USB's to our computer with 1 USB chord. We also used zip ties to keep the cords from becoming a tangled mess inside the box. USB cords, ipod, scanner, video camera, digital camera, palm pilot, cell phone. . . . .
