Niener!

Yesterday was a, “Kick a puppy kind of day. I just felt mean, spiteful, and a tiny bit nasty.

Just for the record, I DID NOT kick a puppy.

I would have just been tempted had I came across a puppy.

Instead I kicked at my family. I didn’t literally kick at my family. I just kind of barked, snapped, and growled. Sometimes I am rather amazed at what they put up with.

I went to bed mad, sad, and a bunch of other ad’s.

Then I just kind of stared at the dark ceiling thinking… not sleeping…. And thinking..

I started thinking about how there is some part of our brain that knows I am acting like a two year old.

There is that tiny little voice, “Really, really, you are really doing this? What the heck is wrong with you? You know better than this.”

Then there is that other voice the one that says, “Niener, neiner, boo, boo.”

I keep thinking that the older I get the more mature part of me is going to take charge.

Yah, that part not really stepping up to the plate. However, the “Niener, Niener, Boo, Boo,” part is all about being in charge.

I’m just curious what do you do when you know your acting like two year old? Even when you know you shouldn’t be.

Our Christmas Letter

Each year I send out a Christmas letter and the one thing that frustrates me more then anything about the letter is that I can not include all the pictures I would like. That and Brent's rule that the letter has to fit on one side of one paper. I have gotten pretty clever with font size and margins to keep this rule. All you that have read this blog know that I am a sucker for pictures. So this year along with mailing out the letters I am going to post the letter with pictures. YAY ! So fun having your own blog to torture people anyway you want. Our Christmas cards were sent out on Monday so here in all it's digital glory is the letter again, this time with pictures. (Beginning of Letter) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We hope that this letter finds you happy, healthy and enjoying the holiday season. If you are like us, it has been a little bit of a difficult year dealing with increasing prices and a budget that isn't quite stretching to meet every thing you want it to...

HI!

Back to the real world. After a week of spring break we are back to the real world.  Sometimes the real world is a little lame.  On the other hand having the kids home 24, 7.... Well, let's just say the real world aint that  bad. We had a fairly productive spring break. We were able to get a bunch of have to's taken care of. Al, Brent, and I made it into the eye doctor and will soon be sporting some new eyes. Glasses just keep getting cooler. My glasses are red with bling on the side and Al's are a very cool turquoise blue. Brent's glasses are a little boring, but being as this is his very first pair ever, we are breaking him into the eye glass world slowly. Brent and I also painted our room. Pictures coming as soon as I decide if I like the paint color. I broke away from our norm and painted the room gray. It is so different that I haven't decided if it is awesome or not. Definitely need to get some artwork on the wall.  This post is a little lame but mainly I just...

A Walk Through Our Fall Garden

We have had an absolutely beautiful fall. The weather has actually stayed unseasonably warm. While we have been busy canning and harvesting we have taken very little time to enjoy the flowers that are also enjoying the fall season.  So a couple of days ago I grabbed my camera and enjoyed a scroll through my flowers.  I Love this picture I swear it makes me think I can actually smell the rose.  Sadly this is a no name rose. I think we should name it don't you?   These little guys are from a start my friend gave me.  In fact my flower beds are a bloom right now with plants from her garden. These little gals make me think of quiet summer days.  They also make me want to finish reading "Anne of Green Gables," again.  Don't you think that Anne would love these little ones.  She would probably call them "Queen's of Fall," or something else romantic and fancy. These are mums and you should see the plant it is huge.  Again a start from a friend.  I think it is...
