A few days after the holidays a friend on facebook left a comment about repurposing his Christmas tree. Instead of throwing out the tree after Christmas he places it in his backyard where he enjoys the tree throughout the winter. I have to admit I thought he was a bit quirky. It is a dead tree after all.
However, yesterday morning we woke up to a fresh coat of snow. Everything was blanketed white and sparkling in the sunlight. For a few seconds I considered liking the snow. While I was enjoying the pretty snow I noticed my neighbors Christmas tree waiting for the trash man.

I quickly grabbed my camera and took a picture and thought maybe my friend wasn't so quirky.
The tree looked so awesome sitting there in the snow. You can't even tell that it isn't growing. I can only imagine how pretty it would look with the lights still twinkling. I may have to consider a live tree next year.
